I would like to share with you something I learned from my sister in her final days.
For months my sister was bedridden and in constant severe pain for which no medication was helping.
A few days before she passed she was strong enough to be carried downstairs to their patio. She spent about an hour outside before her strength gave out and the pain was too much. She was then carried back to bed.
That evening she called me from Vancouver. She never mentioned the pain. Instead she described to me the joy of tasting the cup of tea lovingly made for her, the feeling of warm spring sunshine on her face, the pillowy clouds floating overhead and the rustle of the breeze through the bamboo.
I hope her words help you as much as they have helped me look past adversity for the joy in everything you do.
