Small world, big sky

I first met D in 2011 along with Sarah at a graphic medicine event in Leeds. I was relatively well at the time but we bonded over our chronic illness situations. We had reconnected over the past couple of years as my situation deteriorated and a now mutual friend reached out to me and asked me to join a group that they were in. Although we were not close personal friends we exchanged some supportive messages over the past couple of years about the practicalities of being bedridden and medication and our respective care situations. I found her to be a very supportive member of the M.E. community and I will really miss her there.
I also had extreme mobility-scooter-envy when she got her very cool one. She said she hoped I would get one one day.
This tribute page is lovely, I’m so happy to learn more about her life written here and that she was surrounded by such loving supporting friends and she was able to pass in a dignified supported environment.
Just looking at the endless blue sky today and sending heartfelt thoughts to her close family and friends most especially Sarah.
Lot of love from Paula
